Square Ammonite Assemblages (Metallic Foil 3d Art) Decor Art

Colourful (coper and other shades of metallic foil, glided onto hand-painted paper-clay moulded ammonites.

Lots of lovely texture.

I mould these out of paper clay which takes a couple of days to dry.

Then I use stay-sticky liquid glues to make a shape on a canvas board, and gild that with patterned or plain metal foils when it dries.

The moulded paperclay is glued on top of this and painted with many layers of acrylic washes, before being foiled to match or contrast with the backgrounds.

A few more layers of acrylic highlights and shadows, and then I coat any white canvas with multiple layers of gesso to smarten it up.

Choose:

Paint shades e'g' browns, blues, greens etc.

Then choose:

 gold, silver, coppery, sunburst red, or parallel stripe green-blue foil.

Unframed, on a canvas-coated board, or a canvas.
